Symposium entitled: Travel in Time - Reconstruction of the Tethys' waning in the Balkans.
The symposium entitled: "Travel in Time - Reconstruction of the Tethys' waning in the Balkans" has taken place in Svilajnac, at the Natural History Center, on November 4 (Friday) 2022, with the following invited lecturers: Liviu Matenco, Rolf Romer, Vladica Cvetković, Dražen Balen, Kamil Ustaszewski, Marko Vrabec, Georg Lowe, Nikola Stanković, Kristijan Sokol, Uroš Stojadinović, Ana Mladenović, Nemanja Krstekanić. Apart from the symposium, on November 5., Liviu Matenco and Rolf Romer hold workshops on the following topics: Liviu Matenco - Understanding the interplay between Dinarides - Pannonian - Carpathians subduction and kinematics Rolf Romer - Exogenic control on the distribution of endogenic mineralization: using the distribution of mineral deposits to constrain tectonic models Finally, in agreement with the editor-in-chief of the journal " Geološki Anali Balkanskoga Poluostrva", it was decided to publish a special issue dedicated to this symposium..
